DESCRIPTION

FAIRSEAL is a two-part joint sealant based on a liquid polysulphide polymer. It is supplied in 1 Kg. & 5 Kg. tins containing a base component and Hardner (curing agent) in the correct proportion which, when mixed together, cure to form a fairly stiff rubber-like material. When cured, the sealant exhibits, excellent adhesion to most surfaces including concrete, glass, aluminium and stainless steel. It is to be used for the highest performance in sealing expansion joints where large movements is anticipated in concrete construction and for joints between diverse construction materials. FAIRSEAL has superior joint movement accommodation with strong adhesion to most building materials. It is chemically resistant to water, oils, solvents etc.

JOINT SIZE

FAIRSEAL may be applied to joints between 5 to 50mm wide. Joint for subjected to cyclic movements should be designed for an optimum width/depth ratio of 2 :1. Minimum joint depths are : 5 mm for metals, glass and other non-porous surface. 10 mm for all porous surfaces like brick and concrete. 20 mm for trafficked joints and those subject to hydraulic pressures.

FORM : Two Part (Base+Hardner=Paste); POT LIFE : 2 hours; SPECIFIC GRAVITY : 1.6 Kg. per litre; DURABILITY : Life expectancy is in excess of 20 years; FLAMMABILITY : The cured material burns but does not readily ignite; CURING TIME : 7 to 9 hours initial setting and 3-4 days full cure at 35^OC; TEMPERATURE RANGE : During Application : 5^OC to 45^OC, In Service : -5^OC to 100^OC, Maintenance : When properly applied, FAIRSEAL does not require maintenance during the service life, Hardness : 16-22 shore A. FAIRSEAL PRIMER : FAIRSEAL PRIMER is two part specially designed primer to be used with FAIRSEAL. FAIRSEAL PRIMER ensures very strong electronic bonds between diverce materials.
